Section 28(2) in The West Bengal Primary Education Act, 1973
(2)An elected, a nominated or an appointed member of any Committee who is not a member of the Board, shall hold office for such term, as may be prescribed and may on expiration of such term, be re-elected, re-nominated or re-appointed:Provided that notwithstanding the expiration of the said term, an elected, a nominated or an appointed member of a Committee shall continue to hold office until the vacancy caused by the expiration of the said term has been filled in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
