	Writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to receive the petitioners' application dated 12.4.2016 in Form CCPA with prescribed fee for the grant of a Tourist maxi Cab permit in respect of petitioners' vehicles bearing Temporary Registration No.TN-23-TMP-10360 with Chassis No.MAT455097FFF03732 and Engine No.497SP67FUY620101 and  Temporary Registration No.TN-48-TMP-14490 with Chassis No.MAT455097FFJ05802 and Engine No.497SP67JUY632447 to consider the same and to pass orders in accordance with law.

 ORDER   

By consent, the main writ petitions are taken up for final disposal. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The petitioners have filed the above writ petitions to issue writs of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to receive the petitioners' application dated 12.4.2016 in Form CCPA with prescribed fee for the grant of a Tourist maxi Cab permit in respect of petitioners' vehicles bearing Temporary Registration No.TN-23-TMP-10360 with Chassis No.MAT455097FFF03732 and Engine No.497SP67FUY620101 and Temporary Registration No.TN-48-TMP-14490 with Chassis No.MAT455097FFJ05802 and Engine No.497SP67JUY632447 to consider the same and to pass orders in accordance with law.

3. Mr.S.Govindraman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that since the second respondent is refusing to receive the applications, the second respondent may be directed to receive the applications submitted by the petitioners and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

4. Mr.P. Sanjay Gandhi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent may be directed to receive the applications and pass orders in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to receive the applications of the petitioners, dated 12.4.2016 in Form CCPA with prescribed fee for the grant of a Tourist maxi Cab permit and consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
