8A. [ Superior officers of Police to exercise powers of officer in-charge of a Police Station. [Section 8-A inserted by Act XXI of 1958.]
- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, Samvat 1989 for the purposes of this Act, any officer of the [Anti-Corruption Bureau] of and above the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police shall, subject to the provisions of this Act. exercise any of the powers of the officer-in-charge of a Police Station anywhere in the State and when exercising such powers shall be deemed to be an officer-in-charge of the Police Station within the limits of which he is exercising such powers.]
