Section 166(1) in The City of Panaji Corporation Act, 2002
(1)The Commissioner may by notice, require the owner or occupier of any building or land to repair, alter or put in good order any private drain, privy, latrine, urinal, absorption pit, disposal work, cesspool or receptacle for any filth or refuse, or to close or destroy any private drain, privy, latrine, urinal, absorption pit, disposal work or cesspool belonging thereto, or direct that such private drain shall from such date as he prescribes in this behalf, be used for offensive matter and sewage only, or for rain-water and unpolluted sub-soil water only, and by written notice require the owner or occupier of the premises to make an entirely distinct private drain for rain-water or for unpolluted sub-soil water or for offensive matter and sewage.
