Section 11(1)(b) in The Chennai Corporation (Superior) Service Pension Rules, 1970

(b)a physical or mental disability which, in their opinion, interferes with the efficient discharge of his duties, they may direct him to undergo medical examination with a view to retire him from service on invalid pension.
