Section 28(2) in The Orissa Land Reforms Act, 1960
(2)[ The compensation for the land shall be an amount calculated at the rate of eight hundred rupees per standard acre of the land to be paid in five equal annual instalments] [Substituted vide Orissa Act No. 29 of 1976.] with interest at the rate of four and a half per centum per annum on the unpaid balance, the first instalment falling due on such date as the Revenue Officer may in his order specify in that behalf :[* * *] [Deleted vide Orissa Act No. 29 of 1976.]Provided further that where the tenant pays up the entire compensation amount on or before the date on which the payment of the first instalment falls due he shall be entitled to a rebate on five per centum of the compensation amount.
