Section 27(1)(b) in The Rules For the Administration, Admission and Rehabilitation of Persons in Homes and Shelters, 1970

(b)A subsistence allowance of Rs. 1.50 per day subject to maximum of 3 days under ordinary circumstances, will be paid to each of the inmates performing the journey exceeding five miles from one institution to other institution or to the place of interview or appointment or rehabilitation of any other kind and vice versa. If more than four hours are required to reach the place of destination.
