This petition is for bail.

2. The alleged offence is under Section 8(2) of the Kerala Abkari Act. According to prosecution, on 29.7.2010, petitioner was found in possession of 2 litres of arrack. Petitioner was arrested from the spot.

3. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that petitioner is a woman. She is in custody for the past 21 days. Learned Public Prosecutor submitted that petitioner is involved in another case in the year 2005. Hence, stringent conditions may be imposed while granting bail, but he has no objection in granting bail, it is submitted.

4. On hearing both sides, I am satisfied that bail can be granted to petitioner on conditions. Hence, the following order is passed:

Petitioner shall be released on bail on her executing bond for Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) with two solvent sureties each for the like sum to BA NO. 4953/10 2 the satisfaction of the court concerned, on the following conditions :
(i) Petitioner shall report before the Investigating Officer on alternate days between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., until further orders.
(ii) In case petitioner is involved in any offence of similar nature, her bail is liable to be cancelled.
