Section 11(6)(a) in Poona University Act, 1974

(a)It shall be lawful for the Vice-Chancellor, as the principal executive and academic officer, to regulate the work and conduct of the officers, and of the teaching academic and other employees of the University, in accordance with the provision, of this Act, the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations.
