Section 36(2) in The Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act, 1961

(2)[ Any person, who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall, on conviction, be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year but which may extend to three years and with fine which shall not be less than one thousand rupees but which may extend to five thousand rupees; and when the contravention is a continuing one, with further fine which may extend to two hundred rupees for every day during which such contravention continues after conviction for the first such contravention.] [Sub-section (2) was substituted by Maharashtra 21 of 1993, Section 7.]
