- In preparing plans and estimates the prescribed type plans should be followed in so far as they are applicable and deviation from them should be explained. The rules regarding the space to be allotted should be observed in all cases. The following minimum scale is prescribed.For class rooms in primary school, 8-10 superficial feet per pupil, 80-100 cubic feet per pupil.For class rooms in secondary schools, 10-12 superficial feet pupil, 100- 120 cubic feet per pupil.For hostels of all classes of schools, 90 superficial feet per pupil, 750 cubic feet per pupil.
