Section 71(b) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(b)every wire rope of fitting appliance or lifting gear used for building or other construction work is inspected by a responsible person for such use once at least in every three months: Provided that after any such wire is broken in such rope, it shall, thereafter, be inspected once at least in every month by the responsible person;
