Section 6(1)(a) in Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Employees Conduct) Rules, 2001

(a)Save as provided in sub-rule (3), no panchayat employee shall, except with the previous sanction of the panchayat, ask for or accept contributions to, or otherwise associate himself with the raising of, any fund or other collections in cash or in kind in pursuance of any object whatever.
