Section 7(2) in Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council Act, 2005
(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section(l) above, the Chief Executive Councilor or the Executive Councilors shall cease to hold office as such forthwith if he, for any reason, ceases to be a member.
