Section 8(1)(c) in Himgiri Zee University Act, 2003

(c)to hold examinations for, and to institute grant and confer degrees or other academic distinctions to, and on, persons, who -

(i)have pursued a course of study in the University or in a constituent college or under a distant education system at Regional Centers/ Study Centers or Zed Career Academy Centre, or

(ii)have carried on research in the University or in a constituent college or under a distant education system;
