Section 3(l) in The M.P. Treatment of Criminal Lunatics Confined in Prisons Rules, 2000
(l)"Relative" or "Family member" includes any person related to the mentally ill person by blood, marriage or adoption whereas a "friend" means a person acknowledged to be a friend by the person with mental illness;
