Section 229 in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
229. Cancellation of irrecoverable dues. -
The Corporation may by order strike off the books of the Corporation any sum due on account of the consolidated rate on lands and buildings or any other tax or on any other account, which may appear to it to be irrecoverable.B. Recovery of consolidated rate by person primarily liable to pay to the Corporation.
