Section 402(2) in The City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948
(2)Any officer so deputed may, for the purpose of making such inspection or examination, inspect the condition of any part of the City, and may require the [Commissioner],-(a)to produce any record, correspondence, plan or other document which is in his possession or under his control or which is recorded or filed in his office or in the office of any officer or servant of the Corporation, or(b)to furnish any report, return, plan, estimate, statement, account, or statistics.
