Section 5(1) in The Asansol Municipal Corporation Act, 1990.
(1)The Corporation shall consist of the following members, namely:-(a)not more than fifty and not less than thirty-five elected Councillors as may be determined by the State Government, and(b)[] [Clause (b) substituted by W.B. Act 36 of 1994.] such persons having special knowledge or experience in municipal administration as the State Government may nominate from time to time:Provided that such persons shall not have the right to vote in the meetings of the Corporation.
