Section 17 in The Punjab General Clauses Act, 1898
17. Official Chiefs and subordinates.
- In any Punjab Act [-] [The words 'or East Punjab Act' omitted by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1951.] it shall be sufficient, for the purpose of expressing that a law relating to the chief or superior of an office shall apply to the deputies or subordinates lawfully performing the duties of that office in the place of their superior, to prescribe the duty of the superior.Provisions as to Orders, Rules etc. made under Enactment
