Section 2(1) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(1)"agriculture" includes basic and applied sciences relating to terrestrial and aquatic crop and animal production, forestry including farm forestry, horticultural crops, home economics, agricultural engineering and technology, marketing and processing, land use and management, soil and water management, crop-weather, environment, insect-pest-disease management, utilisation of beneficial insects and microbial organisms, biotechnology, and all matters connected therewith or incidental thereto;
