Section 2(11) in The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act, 1989
(11)"extension education and service" means educational activities undertaken by the University, other than regular training activities for the purpose transference of technology to the backward areas of the State and includes the work which may be undertaken by the University for organizing villagers or groups of families for developmental activities and making them self-reliant by ensuring that necessary services, assistance and help are made available to them from the concerned quarters including the Government Departments and various corporations established by the State Government;
