57. Appointment of the First Vice- Chancellor.
-Notwithstanding anything contained in section 24, the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the State Government as soon as practicable after the commencement of this Act for a period not exceeding three years and on such terms and conditions as the State Government thinks fit.
