ORDER
Information sought:
The Appellant filed online RTI Application dated 22.03.2020 seeking information as under:
"Advertisement no during the periods from Jan 2018 to 20 March 2020 from All Indians applicants
1. Provide me the information receiving amount in the shape of recruitment amount by BECIL during the periods from Jan 2018 to 20 March 2020 Advertisement wise detai of amount (By cash/DD/Chk/or any Mod)"
Having not received any information from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 23.04.2020, which has not been adjudicated by the First Appellate Authority as per available records.
Grounds for Second Appeal:
The Appellant filed a Second Appeal u/s 19 of the Act on the ground of non- receipt of information from the Respondent. Appellant requested the Commission to take appropriate legal action against the Respondent.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
In order to ensure social distancing and prevent the spread of the pandemic, COVID-19, the instant hearing is being scheduled through audio conference after informing both the parties At the outset, the Appellant stated that that the information sought in the instant RTI Application has outlived its utility.Page 2 of 4
CIC/BECIL/A/2020/677881 Decision:
Upon perusal of the facts on record as well as on the basis of the proceedings during the hearing, the Commission observes that the Appellant during the hearing has informed the bench that the information sought qua the instant RTI Application has outlived its utility, so he does not want to pursue this matter further. In view of the above, the Commission finds no further scope of intervention in the matter With the above observations, the instant Second Appeal is disposed of. Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
The Appeal, hereby, stands disposed of.
