Section 10 in The Government Savings Promotion Act, 1873
10. Payment of deposits to minor or guardian .-Any deposit made by, [or on behalf of, a minor] may be paid to him personally, if he made the deposit, or to his guardian [for the use of such minor] [Substituted 'for his use' by Finance Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018), dated 29.3.2018.], if the deposit was made by any person other than the minor, together with the interest accrued thereon.
The [receipt of the minor] [Substituted 'receipt of any minor' by Finance Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018), dated 29.3.2018.] or guardian, for money paid to him under this section, shall be a sufficient discharge therefor.
