Section 307(1) in West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act, 2006
(1)The Corporation may own, purchase or take on lease any land or building for the purpose of establishing municipal market or municipal slaughterhouse or municipal stockyard or improving an existing municipal market, municipal slaughterhouse or stockyard, and make provisions for maintenance of such municipal market, municipal slaughterhouse or municipal stockyard.
