Section 358 in Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
358. Power to make new Public Street.
- The Commissioner may at any time with the previous sanction of the Corporation-(a)Lay out and make new public streets;(b)Construct bridges, culverts and sub-way;(c)Turn or diver any existing public street; and(d)lay down and determine the position and direction of a street or streets in any part of the city notwithstanding that no proposal for the erection of any building in this vicinity has been received.
