Section 161A(c) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(c)The police party shall be composed as follows :-(i)For every British cavalry, infantry or mechanised regiment-One European officer, two head constables and ten constables.(ii)For every British battery of artillery-One European officer, one head constable and six constables.(iii)For every Indian regiment-One Sub-Inspector, one head constable and six constables.
