Section 3(1) in The Calcutta University (Temporary Supersession) Act, 1978
(1)Whereas it is necessary to take action in providing for the supersession of the University of Calcutta, it is hereby declared that the University shall, with effect from the date of coming into force of this Act and for a period of one year thereafter, stand superseded.
