Section 46(2) in The Assam Agricultural Produce Market Act, 1972
(2)In the case of such market committee as the State Government, by general or special order, may direct, no officer of a market committee shall, in any legal proceedings to which the market committee is not a party, be compelled to produce any of its books, the contents of which can be proved under sub-section (1) or to appear as a witness to prove the matters, transactions and accounts therein recorded unless otherwise ordered by the Court in that behalf.
