Section 11(2) in The Jawaharlal Nehru University Act, 1966
(2)The Court shall have the power to review the acts of the Executive Council and the Academic Council (save when these authorities have acted in accordance with the powers conferred upon them under this Act, the Statutes or the Ordinances) and shall exercise all the powers of the University not otherwise provided for by this Act or the Statutes:Provided that the power of review under this sub-section shall not be exercised except by a majority of the total membership of the Court and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members of the Court present and voting.
