State of Telangana - Subsection

Section 43A(1) in Telangana Universities Act, 1991

(1)There shall be constituted a Selection Committee for the selection of Assistant Professors, Associate professors and Professors of University colleges under the Career Advancement Scheme which shall consist of the following, namely;-
(i) the Vice Chancellor   Chairman;
(ii) the Head of the concerned Department   Member;
(iii) two experts on the subject from outside theUniversity to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor   Members;
(iv) the Principal of the concerned University College   Member;
(v) the Commissioner of Collegiate Education or hisnominee   Member;
  and    
(vi) the Registrar   Secretary:
Provided that no person shall participate in the meetings of the Selection Committee if he or his near relative is a candidate for selection under the Career Advancement Scheme:Provided further that no teacher holding a post lower in rank than the one to which appointment is to be made, shall be a member of Selection Committee.
