Section 400(1) in The Madurai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(1)Articles of food, animal, poultry, fish, utensils, or vessels, seized under section 391 or section 397 and not destroyed under section 399 shall, as soon as possible, be produced before a magistrate.
