Section 5(1) in The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
(1)Every Gram Sabha shall hold two general meetings in each year, one in the month of December after the harvesting of the Sawni Crop (hereinafter called the Sawni meeting) and the other in the month of June after the harvesting of the Hari crop (hereinafter called the Hari meeting) on such date as may be fixed by the Sarpanch.
