(1)Except as otherwise provided by or under this Act, the Vice-Chancellor and every salaried officer and Teacher of the University shall be appointed under a written contract, which shall he lodged with the Registrar and a copy thereof furnished to the officer or Teacher concerned, but the contract with the Vice-Chancellor shall remain with the Chancellor and a copy thereof with the Vice-Chancellor.
