Section 16(a) in The Assam Ancient Monuments and Records Act, 1959
(a)where rights have been acquired by the State Government in respect of any monument under this Act or virtue of any sale, lease, gift or will, relinquish, by notification if the official Gazette the right the acquire to the persons who would be for the time being the owner of the monument if such right shave not been acquired ; or
