73. Power of Collector or Magistrate to arrest or search without issue of warrant.
- The Collector or any Sub-divisional Magistrate or Magistrate of the first class may, at any time -(a)arrest, or direct the arrest in his presence of, any person for whose arrest he is competent at the time and in the circumstances to issue a warrant under Section 71; or(b)search, or direct a search to be made in his presence of, any place for the search of which he is competent to issue search-warrant under Section 72.
