(2)The notice may be given either by the candidate in person or by his proposer or election agent who has been authorised in this behalf in writing by the candidate :Provided that where the application is delivered to the Returning Officer by the proposer or the election agent of a candidate, it shall be accepted only if it is presented along with the acknowledgement of the nomination paper given to the candidate or his proposer at the time of presentation of the nomination paper under Rule 30.
