Section 83(1) in West Bengal Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1972
(1)The Board, Committee, Labour Commissioner, West Bengal, Registering Officer, Licensing Officer, or the Inspector or any other authority under the Act shall have powers to call for any information or statistics in relation to contract labour from any contractor or principal employer at any time by an order in writing.
