Section 51(1) in The Jadavpur University Act, 1981
(1)[The Vice-Chancellor or, with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor or the Registrar may,] [Words substituted for the words 'The Vice-Chancellor, or, with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar, may,' by W.B. Act 16 of 2000.] subject to the provisions of this Act, delegate such of his powers or duties conferred or imposed by or under this Act as may be prescribed by the Statutes to an officer of the University under his direct administrative control.
