Section 10(1) in The Registration Act, 1977 (1920 A.D.)
(1)When any Registrar is absent otherwise than on duty in his district, or when his office is temporarily vacant, any person whom the Inspector General invests with powers in this behalf, shall perform the duties of the Registrar during such absence or until [the Government] [In sections 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 22, 29, 36, 69 (2) and 91 the words 'the Government' Substituted for the words 'His Highness' by Act X of 1996.] fill up the vacancy.
