Section 9 in The U.P. Food and Civil Supplies (Weights and Measures) Ministerial Service Rules, 1979
9. Preferential qualifications.
- Candidate who-(1)has served in the territorial army for a minimum period of two years, or(2)has obtained 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps, and(3)in the case of posts of Stenographer has knowledge of English shorthand and English typewriting, shall other things being equal, be given preference over other candidates in the matter of direct recruitment.
