Section 35(3) in Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Elections) Rules, 1995
(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), the State Election Commission may, by order, rescind, revoke, amend or vary the direction issued under the said sub-rule for the assignment of symbols to the contesting candidates, at any stage before the date fixed for receipt of nominations.
