62.
(1)A proceedings in the nature of Public Interest Litigation shall be initiated by a social action group or a public spirited individual having an interest in the cause by filing a petition. However, in appropriate cases a written communication (other than by telegram, telex or by fax) addressed to the Court or the Chief Justice may be treated as Public Interest Litigation subject to the other provisions of these Rules.(2)Such a written communication if it relates to a matter falling within the guidelines referred to here in above shall be treated as a petition.
