Section 2 in Indian Medicine Central Council (Election) Rules, 1975
2. Definition.
- In these rules unless the context otherwise requires:(a)"Act" means the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970);(b)"Form" means a form annexed to these rules;(c)"President" means the President of the Central Council of Indian Medicine;(d)[ "Returning Officer" means any officer of the State Government or the Union territory, as the case may be, who is from the administrative services of the State Government or the Union territory, not below the rank of a joint Secretary to the State Government or the Union territory concerned, appointed on the recommendations of the State Government or the Union territory as such by the Central Government for the purposes of these rules: [Substituted by G.S.R. 372 (E). dated 18-5-2012]Provided that the Registrar of the concerned Board, (by whatever name called) who maintains the register of Practitioners in the State shall not be appointed as the Returning Officer.](e)"Section" means a section of the Act.Election to the Central Council Under Clause (A) of Subsection (1) of Section 3
