130A. [ Rights of certain tenants to purchase land barred. [Inserted by Gujarat 37 of 1980, dated 26th December, 1980]
- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, a tenant who does not belong to any of the Scheduled Tribes shall not, after the commencement of the Bombay Land Revenue (Gujarat Second Amendment) Act, 1980 (Gujarat 37 of 1980) be entitled to purchase from the landlord under this Act any land leased to him with the previous sanction of the Collector under section 73AA of the Bombay Land Revenue Code, 1879 (Bombay V of 1879).Explanation: - For the purpose of this section, "Scheduled Tribes" means such tribes or tribal communities or parts of or groups within such tribes or tribal communities as are deemed to be Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State of Gujarat under Article 342 of the Constitution.] [This proviso was substituted for the original by Bombay 4 of 1960, Section 18.]
