Section 34(1) in The Corporation of the City of Panaji (Election) Rules, 2004
(1)With a view to preventing personation of voters, every voter about whose identity the Presiding Officer or the polling officer, as the case may be, is satisfied, shall allow his left forefinger to be inspected by the Presiding Officer or the polling officer and an indelible ink mark be put on it.
