Section 13(3) in The General Provident Fund (Orissa) Rules, 1938
(3)If a subscriber fails to subscribe with effect from the date on which he is required to join the fund or is in default in any month or months during the course of a year otherwise than as provided in Rule 10, the total amount due to the fund on account of arrears of subscription shall, with interest thereon at the rate provided in Rule 14, be paid forthwith by the subscriber to the Fund or in default, be ordered by the Accounts Officer to be recovered by deduction from the emoluments of the subscriber by instalments or otherwise, as may be directed by the authority competent to sanction an advance [under Rule 15] :Provided that the subscriber, whose deposits in the Fund carry no interest, shall not be required to pay any interest :][Provided further that in case of an amount forwarded in accordance with the proviso to Sub-rule (2) of Rule 13, the date of deposit shall be deemed to be the first day of the month, if it is received by the Accounts Officer before the fifteenth day of that month.] [Added vide SRO No. 152/27.2.1970.]Interest
