Section 289(20)(d) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964

(d)While undergoing the course, Upper Yardmen shall receive increments of pay or [Promotion] [Substituedd by S.R.O. 361, dated 10th November, 1975] to higher rate, and the like, for which they are eligible under the normal regulations, but no change in uniform shall be allowed during the course. Every Upper Yardman is, however, entitled to the free issue of two blue cap bands.
