Section 25A(a) in Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959
(a)A person shall be disqualified for being elected at, and for being -a Mayor, [Deputy Mayor] [The word 'Deputy Mayor' omitted by U.P. Act 49 of 2007, S.8.] or Corporator, if he is a Member of Parliament or of the State Legislature;
